DEKOGON KNICK KNACKS
Art Test created for Dekogon.
The task consisted of developing a set of six small decorative objects (“knick-knacks”) inspired by the aesthetics and design trends of the 1960s–1970s era.
All assets are of course game ready, and have been rendered into UE5.
They were originally created using one single 4K texture set, one for all props, but for rendering and presentation purposes it´s been upgraded to 8k here. Due to the small size of the assets and the fact that they are meant to be seen from a distance in-game, the original textures lacked sufficient detail for close-up renders. This adjustment ensures better visual quality for showcase purposes.
The focus was on capturing the characteristic materials, colors, and shapes of the time period while maintaining clean topology and optimal texel density suitable for production-ready assets.
